About Pinehurst

Pinehurst is a small unincorporated community in Jackson County, Oregon, that today amounts to little more than a ghost town along Oregon Route 66, roughly 25 miles southeast of Ashland. It sits beside Jenny Creek near Round Prairie, tucked between the Siskiyou Mountains and the foothills of the Cascade Range.

Visitors passing through will find a quiet, rural setting rather than any significant preserved structures or developed attractions. The surrounding landscape — creek, prairie, and mountain terrain — is the main draw for those who stop.
