Sterlingville

Sterlingville is a ghost town in Jackson County, Oregon, situated along Sterling Creek. In its day it ranked as the site of the largest hydraulic mining operation in Oregon, drawing enough activity to qualify as a true boomtown. That era is long gone, and the settlement has since been abandoned and destroyed, leaving little for visitors to explore on the ground.
