About Gullion's Bar

Gullion's Bar is a ghost town along the Salmon River in what is now Siskiyou County, California. It began as a placer gold mining camp in 1850, when the area still fell within the boundaries of Trinity County before later jurisdictional changes placed it in Siskiyou County.

The facts on record are sparse, and visitors should expect little more than a remote river setting where a once-active camp once stood. As with most placer gold mining sites of the early California era, physical remains are minimal at best.
