Pearce

Pearce is a ghost town in the Sulphur Springs Valley of Cochise County, Arizona, with its origins rooted in the gold industry. It sits adjacent to Sunsites, and the two unincorporated communities are so closely linked that locals and maps often treat them as a single place, variously written as Pearce–Sunsites or Pearce/Sunsites.

Visitors drawn to historic Arizona settlements will find a quiet, sparsely populated valley landscape where the character of the old gold-era community lingers in scattered remnants. Because both Pearce and Sunsites remain unincorporated, there is no formal town center or visitor infrastructure to speak of — the experience is low-key and self-guided.

Access is straightforward for most of the year, though winter months in this part of Cochise County can bring cold conditions worth accounting for before you go. Spring through fall is the most comfortable window for a visit.
