About Dabney

Dabney is a ghost town in southwestern Uvalde County, Texas, with roots as a mining community. It sits at the terminus of Ranch to Market Road 1022, roughly 19 miles west-southwest of the city of Uvalde.

Little documented detail survives about Dabney's rise or decline, and visitors today should expect a remote, sparse setting with few if any standing structures. The drive out on RMR 1022 is itself the primary experience.
