Juno

Tucked away in Val Verde County in southwestern Texas, Juno is a ghost town that has faded almost entirely from the landscape. The settlement's last operating business shut its doors in 1984, and today a single ranch is all that survives where the community once stood. By 2013, whatever physical traces remained had been absorbed into private ranch land, meaning there is no public access and no historic district to walk through.

For those drawn to vanished places, Juno is essentially a name on a map rather than a destination. Visiting is not a realistic option given the private land status, so the town is best appreciated as a piece of regional history rather than a site to explore in person.
