Spelunk Spire is a climbing area in the Laramie Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with Muscle and Fitness and Reynolds Hill both within half a mile. The area has 10 routes, nine of which are trad and one is boulder. Grades run from 5.2 up to 5.11c/d, with the hardest route, Old Dogs New Trick, a boulder problem. The most common grade is around 5.9, and the hardest trad route is Sky Shot at 5.11a/b. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Laramie show July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. Vedauwoo Campground is about 2 miles away, and Yellow Pine Campground is roughly 6 miles off. The Devil's Playground Trail and Devil's Slide Trail are both within a mile.
