Reese Mountain is a climbing area in Wyoming's Laramie Peak Wildlife Habitat Management Area, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Sherard Tower about half a mile away and Book Pages Wall and Douglas Park each about 0.6 miles off. The area has one route, Pleasantries of First, a trad climb rated 5.11b. That makes it a single, specific objective rather than a large crag with many options. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 84°F in July, with lows near 48°F. That station sits about 1,300 feet lower than the mountain, so temperatures up high run cooler. For a change from climbing, the Sugar Loaf Dome Trail is about 3.6 miles away and the Toaster Wall Trail about 4.1 miles.
