Summit Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in the Laramie Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about a quarter mile from the nearest town, Laramie, and the whole trip is an out-and-back of about half a mile with almost no elevation change, just 15 feet up and 15 feet down. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Laramie show July highs around 81°F with lows near 52°F, and September still runs in the low 70s by day. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Several other outings start close by. Moose Loop and the Haunted Forest Trail are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Crow Creek Connection mountain bike route is the same distance. Pole Creek Group Campground is about 0.9 mile off for an overnight stay.
