Haunted Forest Trail is a 1.1-mile mountain biking route in Wyoming's Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, on the Laramie Ranger District. It's an out-and-back with a total climb of about 621 feet, rising from roughly 8,500 feet to 8,780 feet before returning. The trail is rated moderate, and the steepest stretch comes around 0.94 miles in, with a grade of about 16 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station in Laramie run to a high of 81°F and a low of 52°F, and the station sits about 1,390 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Dogs are allowed. The Crow Creek Connection and Moose Loop sit just 0.1 mile away, and the climbing area at Beehive Buttress is under a mile off. Yellow Pine Campground is about 1.1 miles away.
