Green Mountain Trail is a mountain biking route in Wyoming's Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, within the Laramie Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a short, moderate outing of about 2 miles round trip. The route rises from a starting point at roughly 8,300 feet to a high point of 8,421 feet, with a total gain and loss of about 840 feet. The steepest stretch comes about halfway up, with a 15% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Laramie put July highs around 81°F and lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 30s. The trail sits close to several other outings. The Regolith Trail is just 0.1 mile away, and Coyote Rocks and The Heap, two climbing areas, are within half a mile. For a longer stay, Vedauwoo Campground is about 2.5 miles off.
