North Smiths Fork is a hard hike in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, within the Kemmerer Ranger District. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 7,500 feet to roughly 8,850 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,347 feet over a route of about 9 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open from May 1 through October 31. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes. That makes it a versatile route for riders and pack animals, and the climb is a significant one, so plan for a full day on foot or on horseback. Trail Creek lies about half a mile away, and Ccc Camp is roughly 2 miles off. For an overnight base, Allred Flat Campground and Hobble Creek Campground are both within about 7 miles.
