Fred's Mountain is a 6.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Teton Basin Ranger District of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Wyoming. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route rises from a low of about 7,975 feet to a high of about 9,816 feet, with a total elevation gain of roughly 1,793 feet. The trail is natural-surface and rated moderate. The trail is not accessible, and bikes are not allowed. Horses are permitted. The Forest Service's trail records say as much. The hike sits close to a cluster of other outings. Action Jackson, a mountain biking spot, is about a tenth of a mile away, and the Bannock Trail and Quakie Ridge are within a mile. For an overnight stay, Reunion Flat campground is about 2 miles off.
