UFO and Goodbye Flake Boulders is a bouldering area in Washington, about half a mile from the town of Roslyn. It sits among several other climbing spots in the Roslyn area, with Sad Face Boulder and the Roslyn climbing area both just a tenth of a mile away. The area has seven bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V1 to V8. UFO Traverse and Christmas Tree are the easiest at V1, while Goodbye Arete is the hardest at V8. Goodbye Flake Low and Appearances Deceive fall in the middle, at V6 and V5. Summer is the warmest stretch for a visit. Typical July and August highs reach about 81°F with lows near 50°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Cle Elum. Winter is cold, with typical January highs around 35°F. The Coal Mines Trail starts about 0.4 miles away and Canyon No. 6 is about a mile off. For an overnight stay, RV Trailer Parking is roughly 2 miles away.
