Dragontail Peak is a climbing area in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, within the Wenatchee River Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land. The climbing is trad, with six routes spread across grades from 5.7 to 5.12a. Gerber-Sink is the only ice route, and Dragons of Eden is the hardest at 5.12a. Serpentine Arete, first climbed in 1973, and Backbone Ridge, first climbed in 1970, are among the classics. The Dragontail Peak Summit Trail lies about 0.4 miles away and the Aasgard Pass Trail about 0.6 miles away, so the peak is easy to reach from the trail network. Stuart-Enchantments is roughly a mile off, and Colchuck Balanced Rock is about 1.1 miles away.
