Scarecrow Boulder is a bouldering area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Lovage Boulder and Busted Boulder each about 0.1 mile away. The area has six boulder problems, all rated on the V scale from V0- to V3. Hearthstone is the easiest at V0-, and Hearthstone Yabo is the hardest at V3. Scarecrow and Dredge are both V1. The routes are all bouldering, so there is no climbing on rock faces to plan for. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Leavenworth show July and August highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F and only about three wet days a month. That station sits roughly 700 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up high run cooler. Bruce's Boulder Trail is about 0.3 mile away, and Snow Lakes Trail is about a mile off.
