1st Talus Field is a bouldering area in the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness, within the Skykomish Ranger District of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits inside designated wilderness. The climbing here is all bouldering, with two routes listed: The Spinchter at V2 and the Undercling Slab Project at V4-5. Both are boulder problems, and the Undercling Slab Project is the more challenging of the two. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Holden Village show July and August highs around 76°F with only about six wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 20s and rain on most days. The closest neighbors are the Off Width Boulder and Party Boulder bouldering areas, each about 0.1 mile away. The Iron Goat Trail is about 1.2 miles off, and the Grace Lakes Cat Track, a cross-country ski route, is about 1.6 miles away.
