Toxic Tea Cup is a short, back-loaded out-and-back ride in Washington, about 20 miles from the town of Prevost. It sits at a low point of 1,085 feet, with a high point of 1,137 feet on the route, and the total climb and descent each add up to about 52 feet. The steepest part comes early, around 0.05 miles from the start, with a grade of about 8%. The route is a quick loop, less than a third of a mile long, and it makes a natural addition to a ride on the surrounding roads. T Road and B Road both lie about 0.1 mile away, with Lower Tea and Dom's Triple Sec about 0.3 mile off. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Friday Harbor put July and August highs in the low 70s, with fewer wet days than the rest of the year. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet below the route, so temperatures on the climb run cooler.
