Lost Valley is a short mountain biking route in Washington, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It is an out-and-back ride of about 0.9 miles, with a total elevation gain of 278 feet from a low point of 842 feet to a high of 923 feet. The climb is steepest at the start, with a 14% grade about 0.05 miles in. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Sherman Creek, a canoeing spot, and McKenny, another mountain biking route, are both about 0.4 miles away. Mima Falls West and Greenline are each about 0.8 miles off.
