The route is an out-and-back that rises from about 580 feet to about 1,060 feet, a gain of roughly 490 feet over a 3.2-mile round trip. It sits within the state's public land network, and the nearest town is Olympia, about 11 miles away. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride.
