McKenny is a mountain biking area in Washington managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits at a single elevation of about 1,058 feet, so there is no climb to speak of here. The land is flat, and the route stays at that level. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days a month. That station sits well below the site, so temperatures at McKenny run cooler. Several other mountain biking spots are close by. Lost Valley and Sherman Creek are each about 0.4 miles away, and Mima Falls West and Greenline are both about 0.6 miles off.
