Lost Valley is a mountain biking route in Washington, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It is an out-and-back ride of about 7.4 miles, with a total elevation gain of 498 feet, taking you from a low point of about 520 feet to a high of about 968 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the climb run cooler. Several other rides and paddling spots are close by. Sherman Creek, a canoeing route, is about 0.7 miles away, and the McKenny and Greenline mountain biking routes are each within about a mile. Little Larch Mountain - Last Wooded Section Segment, a hike, is about 1.7 miles off.
