Chunk Boulder is a climbing area on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits within the Glenwood and Pedlar Ranger Districts of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest. There is no fee to visit. The area works well as a base for exploring other climbing and hiking spots in the immediate vicinity. Boulder X is just 0.1 mile away and Nucleus Boulder is 0.2 mile away. Johnson Trail and Harkening Hill Loop Trail are both within a mile. For paddling, Jennings Creek is about 3.7 miles off, and North Creek campground is about 6 miles away.
