Rooftopia is a bouldering area in Vermont's Manchester Ranger District, part of the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests. The Forest Service manages the land, and the climbing sits within a cluster of bouldering spots, with Ship's Prow about 0.1 mile away and Future Cave about 0.2 mile away. The area holds 10 boulder problems, all rated on the V scale from V5 to V10-11. The median grade is V7-8, and the hardest route is Nosferatu at V10-11. Samuel Hayden and Jerome Boutaud are among the climbers who have left their mark on the holds, with Hayden's Stealing First at V5 and Boutaud's Bat Hang at V8. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 75°F in July and August, with lows in the mid-50s. That station sits about 650 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Red Mill Access and Woodford Trail are both within about 2 miles for a walk. Melville Nauheim Shelter and Congdon Shelter offer camping a little farther out.
