French Quarter is a bouldering area in the Manchester Ranger District of the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests in Vermont, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Barge and United States of Banana both about 0.1 mile away, and it makes an easy pairing with nearby routes and trails. The bouldering here ranges from easy V0 to challenging V6, with the grades spread across nine boulder problems. Pommes Frites is the easiest at V0, and Cornice is the hardest at V6. The routes are all boulders, so the area suits climbers who prefer short, objective-style problems. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical July highs reach about 75°F with lows near 56°F, according to averages from a nearby weather station in Peru, and September stays mild with highs around 67°F. Winters are cold, with January highs averaging about 27°F. Spruce Peak, a hike about 1.2 miles away, and Bromley Shelter, a campground about 1.7 miles away, are the closest nearby stops.
