Bells Canyon is a mountain biking route in the Lone Peak Wilderness, part of the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route lies within designated wilderness. The climb is a 3.2-mile ride from a low point of about 5,948 feet to a high of about 9,389 feet, with a total elevation gain of 3,418 feet. That makes it a significant ascent, and the route is best suited to riders prepared for a long, steep ride. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Alta weather station, which sits at a similar elevation, show July highs around 73°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. Climbers will find Middle Bell Tower about 0.6 miles away and West Bell Tower about 0.8 miles away. The Little Cottonwood Creek Trail is about 1.2 miles off, and Tanners Flat Campground is about 3.4 miles away.
