Jacob's Traverse Road is a mountain biking route in Utah, about 2.5 miles from the town of Alpine. The road is an out-and-back with a total length of about 3.8 miles, and the one-way climb gains about 748 feet, from a low point of roughly 5,582 feet to a high of about 6,342 feet. It is rated easy, so it works well as a short ride or a warm-up before heading to other spots in the area. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Timpanogos Cave show May highs around 66°F and September highs around 76°F, while July averages climb to about 88°F. Three Falls Trail sits just 0.2 miles away, and Bodily Harm Trail is about 0.6 miles off. Climbers can head to South Side Boulders, about 1.8 miles away, and paddlers will find the American Fork about 5 miles out.
