Coal Mine is a mountain biking route in the Fillmore Ranger District of Fishlake National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The ride starts at about 7,724 feet and climbs to roughly 9,733 feet over a distance of about 2.7 miles, with a total elevation gain of 1,987 feet. The route is a short, steep climb, and the most comfortable time to ride is typically late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 85°F and September highs around 75°F, with winter bringing highs near freezing. Several other destinations sit within a few miles. The Maple Hollow - CCC hike is about a mile away, and the Pioneer - Eagle Hollow hike is about 1.8 miles off.
