Greens Basin Trail Alternate is a mountain biking route in the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is short, about 0.86 miles long, and climbs roughly 523 feet from a low point of 7,660 feet to a high of 8,208 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Alta weather station show July highs around 73°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. The Greens Basin Trail lies about 0.4 miles away, and the Green Basin hike is about 0.6 miles off. Spruces Campground and Jordan Pines Campground are both within about a mile and a half, making it easy to pair a ride with an overnight stay.
