Bear Trap is a short mountain biking climb in the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 0.37 miles long, rising roughly 300 feet from a low point of 7,928 feet to a high of 8,243 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Silver Lake Brighton show July highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. The Beartrap Fork Trail lies about 0.4 miles away, and the Greens Basin Trail Alternate is about 0.7 miles off.
