Red Rock Wall is a climbing area in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Salt Lake Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits among a cluster of trails, campgrounds and other climbing spots. The climbing here is sport-oriented, with 10 sport routes and one trad route. Grades run from 5.8- up to 5.11a, with the median at 5.10a. Among the named routes are Baked Bean Sandwich (5.8-), Woody Woodpecker (5.9-) and Reasoning With The Unreasonable (5.11a). Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Alta weather station, at 8710 feet, show July highs around 73°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. The closest neighbors are the Mill D North Fork hike, 0.4 miles away, and Jordan Pines Campground, 0.5 miles away.
