West Tidwell is a moderate out-and-back hike on the Fremont River Ranger District of Fishlake National Forest in Utah, about 3.6 miles long with an elevation gain of 897 feet. The trail climbs from a low point of 9,540 feet to a high point of 10,444 feet, and it is open year round. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail's natural surface allows bikes. That makes it a practical choice for a day on foot or on a mountain bike. For more time on the trail, Gwt Alt (Willies Flat) is about 2 miles away and Um Creek is about 3 miles away. Paiute Campground, about 6 miles off, offers a place to camp.
