Upper U M Road is a 6-mile out-and-back hike in the Fremont River Ranger District of Fishlake National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route starts at about 9,393 feet and climbs to roughly 9,914 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 513 feet. It is rated moderate. The hike is a short, steady climb rather than a long or steep one. The Sawmill Creek - Black Flat trail lies just 0.4 miles away, and Between the Forks and Left Fork Um are both about 1.6 miles off. For an overnight stay, Paiute Campground is about 5 miles away.
