Silver Creek is an out-and-back hike in Utah's Manti-La Sal National Forest, on the Price Ranger District, about 5.7 miles long and rated hard. It rises from a low point of about 8,079 feet to a high of about 8,427 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 336 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 74°F and lows near 48°F, while winter highs stay near 30°F. That station sits about 270 feet higher than the trail, so temperatures on the route run slightly warmer. The Forest Service manages the land. The trail is natural-surfaced and bikes are allowed. The open season runs from June 1 to October 15. South Spur of Silver Creek lies about a mile away. Gooseberry Creek and Gooseberry Reservoir are within about 3.5 miles, and Fish Creek offers canoeing at roughly 3.7 miles.
