Oak Creek is a hard hike in the Sanpete Ranger District of Manti-La Sal National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 11.4 miles, with a one-way climb of 1,821 feet from a low point of about 7,172 feet to a high of about 9,001 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation show July highs around 74°F with lows near 48°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. The trail is on natural surface and allows both horses and bikes. Several other hikes lie within a few miles, including Silver Creek, Dry Creek Driveway and Gooseberry Creek. Gooseberry Reservoir offers camping about 3.6 miles away.
