Halfway Wash is a short, easy hike in southern Utah, about 2 miles from the town of Santa Clara. The route is nearly flat, with a high point of 2,788 feet and a low of 2,772 feet, and it covers just 0.03 miles. It's a quick stop rather than a full-day outing, and it works well as a short walk to pair with other stops in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in St. George show April highs around 75°F and October highs near 79°F, while July averages about 102°F and January lows drop to around 28°F. Chuckawalla Wall, a climbing area, is about 1.4 miles away, and the Rusty Cliffs hike is about 1.5 miles off. Bluff Street Cracks, another climbing area, and the Gap hike are both within about 1.6 miles.
