Gwt Guardsman to Sunset Pass is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. The route is about 0.34 miles long, with a one-way climb of 24 feet from a low point of 8,914 feet to a high of 8,949 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Silver Lake show July highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F, while winter highs stay around 30°F. The Forest Glen Trail, a mountain biking route, lies about 0.2 miles away, and Big Cottonwood Canyon Road is about 0.3 miles off.
