The Wasatch Crest Trail is a hard hike in the Salt Lake Ranger District of Utah, about 1.5 miles from the town of Brighton. The route is an out-and-back that starts and ends near the same low point, with a high of about 9,896 feet, and covers roughly 13.6 miles round trip. The trail's one-way climb gains about 1,308 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run to a high of 72°F and a low of 47°F, while winter highs there stay near 30°F. The Wasatch Crest Connect and Blazing Saddle mountain biking trails sit just 0.1 mile away. Redman Campground and the Guardsman climbing area are both about 1.6 miles off.
