The Boulder Mail Trail is a 11.4-mile out-and-back route in Utah's Bureau of Land Management land within the Kanab Field Office. It starts at the Boulder Mail Trailhead and rises from a low of about 5,800 feet to a high of about 6,800 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,493 feet. The trail is rated hard, so plan on a full day on foot. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Boulder show May highs around 68°F and September highs around 74°F. That station sits at a similar elevation to the trail, so expect similar conditions along the way. Several other outings lie within a short drive. For an overnight stay, Deer Creek Campground is about 6 miles away.
