Yellow Pine is a Forest Service campground in the Heber-Kamas Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. It sits within the national forest's recreation sites, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site is a simple base for overnight stays, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. A fee is charged for use. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Kamas weather station, which sits about 700 feet lower than the campground, show July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days from December through February. Several other spots are close by. The Slate Creek Mtn Bike hike is about 0.3 miles away, and the Mine Trail Snowshoe is about 0.5 miles away. Ponderosa Group Campground is about a mile off, and the Provo River, about 6.4 miles away, offers canoeing.
