Rock Canyon is a Forest Service campground in the Pleasant Grove Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. It sits close to a trailhead in a timbered setting, and it is a reservation-only site with no water on site. Vault toilets are the only facility. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Sundance weather station, which sits about 400 feet lower, run to highs around 81°F in July and lows near 58°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. The Rock Canyon Second Right Fork trail starts just 0.3 miles away, and the Kyhv Peak Trail is about 0.9 miles off. Climbers can head to Threshold, roughly 1.1 miles away, and the Hope campground is about 2.8 miles away.
