Hope is a Forest Service campground in the Pleasant Grove Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, about 10 miles from Provo, Utah. The paved road into the campground runs from Provo Canyon, and the site sits in a mix of maple, scrub oak and fir. Vault toilets are the only restroom facility. Grills and picnic tables are among the improved amenities, and the campground has no water on site, so plan to bring your own. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Sundance weather station show July highs around 81°F with lows near 58°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. Several trails start within half a mile, including the Erindell Trail and the Khyv Peak Overlook Front and Back trails. Climbers can head to Little Rock Canyon Boulders, about 1.4 miles away.
