Magpie is a Forest Service campground in the Ogden Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and paddling waters, with Botts just 0.7 miles away and the South Fork Ogden River about 0.9 miles off. The site is a simple base for an overnight stay. Vault toilets are the only listed amenity, and a fee is charged for use. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Huntsville Monastery show May highs around 71°F and September highs near 79°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Other options close by include the South Fork campground at 1.1 miles and the Perception Park Nature hike at 1.8 miles. Paddlers can also reach the South Fork Ogden River, and climbers will find Serendipity Wall about 7.3 miles away.
