Causey Reservoir is a fishing lake in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Ogden Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the reservoir sits among a cluster of trails and campgrounds, making it a natural base for a day or longer on foot or in the backcountry. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from late spring into early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs near 79°F, with July peaking around 90°F. Winter is cold and snowy, with January highs in the mid-30s and lows near 11°F. Several trails start close by. Skull Crack Trail is about half a mile away, and Baldy Ridge is about 0.6 miles off. Willows Campground and Upper Meadows are both within about 3 miles, and the South Fork Ogden River offers paddling roughly 3.8 miles away.
