Intake Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah. It sits among a cluster of other recreation spots, with Boy Scout Campground about half a mile away and Cottonwood Campground roughly 0.7 miles off. Vault toilets are the only listed amenity, and a fee is charged for stays. The campground works well as a base for exploring the surrounding trails and climbing areas. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Johnson Pass weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 77°F, while July averages climb to about 91°F. The Stansbury Front Trail and Mining Fork Trail both start within about half a mile. Climbers can find Fern's Ledge and Lower Narrows about 0.8 miles away.
