Rainbow Lake Trail is a short, moderate out-and-back hike in Tennessee, about a mile from the community of Timberlinks. The trail is 0.78 miles long, with a total climb of 194 feet from the low point at 1,621 feet to the high at 1,739 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.34 miles, with a grade of 8%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the Lookout Mtn-Point Park weather station, about 8 miles away, show October highs near 67°F and May highs near 74°F, while July averages around 84°F and winter highs sit in the mid-40s. The hike takes about half an hour, so it makes an easy add-on to a day of exploring the area. The Singnal Mountain Blue Trail and Orange Blue Trail both start within half a mile, and the Middle Creek climbing area is about 0.5 miles away. Edwards Point - Trail Network lies roughly a mile off.
