About this water

The Chattooga River forms the border between South Carolina and Georgia and is one of the most scenic wild trout streams in the Southeast, flowing through the Sumter National Forest. The upper sections hold wild brown and rainbow trout in cold, clear water, making it a premier fly fishing destination. Access is via the Andrew Pickens Ranger District with several trail-based entry points.
