Wahoo Gulch is a short, out-and-back cross-country ski route in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Hood River Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is about 0.3 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 64 feet from a low point of 4,325 feet to a high of 4,387 feet. The climb is flat, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.05 miles in, with a grade of 2 percent. The most comfortable months for skiing are July and August, when typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station run to highs around 70°F and only about four wet days a month. Winter is cold and wet, with January highs near 37°F and lows around 26°F. Lakeside Trail and Hood River Road both lie about 0.1 mile away. For an overnight stay, Badger Lake and Alpine Campground are each about 3.5 to 3.8 miles off.
