Nordic Way is a short, out-and-back cross-country ski route in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Hood River Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated hard. It covers about 0.28 miles, with a total elevation gain of 81 feet, and the climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.05 miles from the start. The route sits at an elevation of about 4,350 feet, with a high point of 4,417 feet. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show January highs around 37°F and lows near 26°F, with July and August highs in the low 70s and only about four wet days a month. Two other cross-country ski routes, Gray Jay Trail and Mountain View Trail, lie about 0.1 mile away. Badger Lake and Alpine Campground, both about 3.5 to 3.8 miles off, offer camping.
