Brogan Spire is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in Oregon's Prineville Deschutes Field Office, about 10 miles from Prineville. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Southside and North Face both about 0.1 mile away, and (b) Dog Wall at a similar distance. The area is a small cluster of sport routes, all bolted and prepped. Three routes are listed, with grades ranging from 5.12c to 5.13c. They are A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, all of which were first ascended, bolted and prepped by Alan Collins. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Redmond run to highs around 69°F in May and 79°F in September, with July and August highs near 88°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 44°F and lows near 25°F. The Canyon Trail and Homestead Trail are both about 0.8 mile away. For an overnight stay, Skull Hollow campground is about 3.5 miles off.
